Parts
A part's tabs:
| Tab | What's in it |
|---|---|
| Overview | The picture and what ClassCAD measured: name in the model, bodies, volume, size, centre of gravity, number of expressions |
| Expressions | The model's expressions with their values |
| Files | Every file of the draft or version: kind, size, download. Files can be removed from a draft |
| History | Versions and revisions, as a timeline or a graph |
| Used by | The assemblies that use the part |
Edit opens the draft in Buerligons. That's how a part is made and changed: a new part opens empty, and each save goes into the draft as its new source.
For a model made elsewhere, Upload (or Replace source) takes an OFB or STEP file into the draft. While its job runs, the Overview keeps showing the previous values with a note, and they change once the job is done. If ClassCAD can't read the file, the job line says why. Upload a good file and it runs again.
A part made by a generator shows where it came from: the generator, its version and the parameters. You get Run again in place of Edit, and Copy to take it over as a normal part.
